Printing Procedure

1. The printing process can be done either manual or via automatic screen-printing. Suggested maximum of three [3] strokes, three [3] coats, except when printing tonal or CMYK process.
2. In halftone print, one [1] stroke is ideal but two [2] strokes are acceptable, however, one [1] coat only is highly suggested.
3. Curing is recommended to greatly increase washing fastness. Curing will also give the print a glossier print output.

Cleanup

Wash materials used with mineral spirit. Observe all local regulations when disposing of this substance.

Additional Information

Plastisol ink goes through three stages. The first [1st] stage is the wet stage after it has been printed on the garment. The second [2nd] stage is the semi-cure or the gelling stage, which means it is dry to touch on the surface but not fully cured. It can be semi-cured via flash cure machine or heat gun curing. Do not over-flash. The third [3rd] and final stage is the cure stage. It is when the entire ink film from top to bottom reaches its required temperature curing, which depends on the type of plastisol ink used and the printing thickness. Do not over-cure.

To achieve a smooth surface print, heat press curing is recommended.

To achieve good color opacity and brilliance during screen-printing (manual), maintain medium pressure and speed with a 45º to 60º angle.

Keep the screen wet by flooding the screen with just the right amount of ink or keep the screen clean.
